HAMMONTON, N.J. (WPVI) -- A school bus driver was injured in an accident in Hammonton, N.J.

It happened at 7 a.m. Monday in the unit block of Liberty Street.

Police tell Action News the driver lost control and crashed into a utility pole.

Part of the pole and some wires landed on the hood of the bus.

No students were on the bus at the time.

The driver is being treated for unspecified injuries.

There was no immediate word on the driver's condition, or what led to the crash.

Liberty Street was closed as police investigated.
