2 charged in police chase, shooting in Wilmington, Delaware

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Two men have been charged after an undercover police vehicle was hit by gunfire in Wilmington, Delaware Monday afternoon.

26-year-old Troy Faison and 24-year-old Sirair Bailey have been charged with attempted murder.

Police say it was around 12:45 p.m. when officers in an unmarked police vehicle observed a silver Buick traveling at a high rate of speed in the area of West 35th and North Market streets.

The officer began following the Buick, and at one point an occupant of the car fired at the officer's vehicle multiple times, striking the passenger side window.

The chase ended in the area of 29th Street between West and Washington streets where the suspects struck another vehicle and fled on foot.

Two suspect, later identified as Faison and Bailey, were apprehended. A third suspect remains at large.

Luckily, no one was injured in the incident.
