2 children hurt when car overturns in Southwest Philadelphia

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Two children were injured when a car crashed and overturned in Southwest Philadelphia.

It happened just before 4:00 p.m. Wednesday near 68th Street and Cobbs Creek Parkway.

Initial reports are that the driver of a Dodge Intrepid lost control and the vehicle crashed into a small pole.

The car overturned and came to rest on the roof.

Two children who were inside were taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia for what appear to be non-life threatening injuries.

The driver was also taken to the hospital for medical evaluation.

Police are investigating the crash.
