Police say two men are in the hospital after a boating accident on the Delaware River in Philadelphia's Tacony section early Saturday morning.

TACONY (WPVI) -- Police say two men are in the hospital after a boating accident on the Delaware River in Philadelphia's Tacony section early Saturday morning.

The two men were going north of the Betsy Ross bridge on the river around 12:30 a.m. when their boat hit something, police say.

The impact tossed the men around in the boat but one of them managed to call 911.

Police took them to Aria Hospital in Torresdale where they were treated for various injuries.

So far, there is no word on the condition of the victims.

The boat has a large gash in the front and was taking in water, but did not sink.

The Coast Guard is investigating the crash.
