1 dead,1 injured in New Castle, Delaware double shooting

NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- Gunfire has left one man dead and another wounded in New Castle, Delaware.

It happened after 12:00 a.m. Wednesday at a home in the 300 block of Martin Drive in the Collins Park development.

Police arrived to find a 29-year-old man shot in the upper body and another man shot in the legs.

Both were taken to Christiana Hospital.

The 29-year-old man was pronounced dead. The other victim's injuries were described as non-life-threatening.

New Castle County Police say it appears several men broke into an unattached garage near the home where the shootings happened and later fled.

The investigation continues.
