Authorities say two SEPTA police officers were injured while trying to apprehend a suspect in Center City.

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Authorities say two SEPTA police officers were injured while trying to apprehend a suspect in Center City.

It happened around 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the 13th Street Market Frankford El line station.

A custodian was reportedly assaulted.

SEPTA police responded and found the alleged suspect at 15th and Arch streets.

As officers tried to arrest the man, they say he resisted, putting up a fight.

One officer suffered leg injuries and another suffered scrapes and cuts. Both were taken to Hahnemann Hospital for treatment.

The suspect was eventually apprehended.
