Two women were struck by a car in Northeast Philadelphia.

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Two women are hospitalized after being struck by a car in Northeast Philadelphia.

The accident occurred around 11:40 p.m. Saturday.

Police say four women were leaving Dagwood's Pub and crossing Linden Street near Marsden.

That is when police say a vehicle driving west came upon the women and swerved to avoid them.

However, another car was traveling east on Linden.

To avoid a head-on collision, the first car swerved back, striking two of them.

The women, both in their 40s, are in stable condition at Aria Health Torresdale.

There is no word on any charges at this time.
