CHOP 11th annual Patient Prom

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- It was a big night for a special group of children, who deserve a reason to smile.

The 11th annual Patient Prom was Wednesday night at Children's Hospital.

It gives young patients, families and friends one night where their sole concern is looking fabulous, smiling and dancing.

This was an inside look at the CHOP salon where the patients are busy getting ready.

From picking the gowns, the tuxedos, getting their makeup and hair done, this is all about them.

The red carpet was at 5 and prom got started at 6.
