SMYRNA, Del. (WPVI) -- A 63-year-old man died from injuries sustained in what police are calling a "targeted attack."

A year later, investigators are asking for the public's help finding his killer.

On April 27, 2016, 63-year-old James Leager was found unconscious with blunt force trauma injuries inside of his pickup truck.

The truck was on a farm where he worked on the 700 block of Blackbird-Greenspring Road in Smyrna.

Leager died days later.

Thursday, Delaware State Police and members of the Leager family, asked anyone who may know anything about his death to come forward.

"A year has passed, and the family has endured sleepless nights, and the pain of not knowing what happened to Jimmy," victim's brother Mike Leager said.

The incident remains under investigation.
