Police: Woman sleeping in front of truck run over, killed in Dover

DOVER, Del. (WPVI) -- Police say a woman was killed after she fell asleep in front of a tractor trailer, and was then run over.

The incident was reported around 8 a.m. Monday in the 200 Block of College Road in Dover, Delaware.

According to investigators, 58-year-old Pamela Guy had helped the driver wash his truck on Sunday. Police also say she had been drinking heavily.

Later that night, Guy - who police say "was known to drink heavily and often sleep in random spots in the neighborhood" - came back and fell asleep in front of the tractor trailer.

When the driver left for work on Monday morning, the truck ran over Guy, killing her.
