BORDENTOWN, N.J. (WPVI) -- Rescuers have freed a driver who was trapped when his tractor-trailer overturned on the New Jersey Turnpike in Bordentown.

The crash happened before 1 p.m. Friday in the northbound lanes north of Exit 7.

State police tell Action News the big rig blocked several travel lanes when it overturned.

The driver was trapped for about 25 minutes.

There was no immediate word on his condition, or what led to the crash.

The right shoulder of the outer northbound lanes remained blocked at the scene as crews worked to clear the wreckage.
