GLADWYNE, Pa. (WPVI) -- Crews are on the scene of an underground fire that has knocked out gas service to several dozen customers in Gladwyne, Montgomery County.

It happened around 12 a.m. Friday on North Spring Mill Road near Conshohocken State Road (Route 23).

Officials tell Action News a tree branch fell on some wires, sparking a fire. That fire spread to a gas line that went underground.

There have been no reports of injuries.

Utility crews arrived on the scene and repair work is now underway.

PECO says gas service has been knocked out to 120 customers in the area.

North Spring Mill Road has been closed approaching Conshohocken State Road.
