WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A West Philadelphia woman was hospitalized for smoke inhalation following a fire.

It broke out at 7:22 p.m. Monday in an apartment on the 4100 block of Warren Street.

Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze.

The victim, believed to be in her 60s, was transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center as a trauma alert.
