Philadelphia Police are investigating two shootings that happened two blocks apart in the city's Germantown section.

In all, three people were shot. Police are working to determine if the incidents are connected.

The first happened after 12 a.m. Tuesday in the 5200 block of Germantown Avenue.

Officers arrived to find a 19-year-old woman who had been shot in the foot.

She is now listed in stable condition at Temple University Hospital.

As detectives were investigating that case, they heard multiple gunshots being fired two blocks east of them, in the 5000 block of Germantown Ave.

When police got there, they found a 22-year-old woman who had been shot in the back.

Police think she may have been caught in crossfire. Witnesses said she had just left a takeout restaurant.

She was rushed to Temple University Hospital.

Minutes after that, police got a call that a 25-year-old man had also been shot in the back at the same location.

He was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center in a private vehicle.

Both the man and woman were said to be in critical condition.

Witnesses told police they say two men running from the restaurant scene.

There have been no arrests.
