New police training philosophy comes to Camden county

BLACKWOOD, N.J. (WPVI) -- The Camden County Police Department hosted a training session that's highly scenario-driven and centers around innovative policing tactics.

Camden County helped launch this new training philosophy 2 years ago and has now fully integrated the program.

Part of it focuses on safely defusing encounters with people who may suffer from mental or behavioral challenges.
