SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A touching tribute to a Philadelphia Police Officer who died in the line of duty has been unveiled in Southwest Philadelphia.

The city dedicated this amazing mural, honoring Sergeant Robert Wilson, III.

The mural looks over the 6000 block of Baltimore Avenue.

In 2015, Wilson was killed during an attempted robbery at a GameStop in North Philadelphia as he was buying a present for his young son.

His family was there, and they say they're grateful to the city, and to the people of our city.

"It's mixed emotions all the time. But anything for Robbie we're here. We miss him every day. We appreciate it more and more," Wilson's sister Shakira Wilson Burroughs said.

The location was chosen for two reason.

First - This is where he grew up.

Secondly - He's buried just a few blocks away.
