Gift of Life, Montco camp bring together young organ transplant recipients
Gift of Life, Montco camp bring together young organ transplant recipients: Registered Nurse Ali Gorman reports during Action News at 5 p.m. on July 18, 2017.

BLUE BELL, Pa. (WPVI) -- The Action Cam visited a special camp Tuesday morning in Blue Bell., Montgomery County.

Camp Jeremy with the Gift of Life brought together kids who have had organ transplants.

They play games, swim and learn about nature and get to be typical kids.

Jenna Dunlea, who had a double lung transplant, says there's also comradery.

"You can talk to about things you can't with a friend who hasn't had a transplant which helps, like a bonding thing," she said.

All of the kids at Camp Jeremy are there and healthy because someone decided to become an organ donor.

There are more than 5,000 people in our area waiting for a life-saving transplant.
