White Coat Ceremony

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Future doctors are excited Friday night after getting their white coats to officially enter medical school at Jefferson.

Their parents were on hand to help them slip into their new uniform.

They'll be the first to be part of a new curriculum to focus on both medical treatment but compassion.

It'll include learning to ask the right questions, evaluate data and help a patient find a drug store to fill prescriptions.

Teamwork will also be emphasized.
