Woman shot while driving in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- A woman was shot and wounded while driving her car in Wilmington, Delaware.

It happened shortly before 10 p.m. Sunday in the 2300 block of N. Locust Street.

According to police, the 29-year-old was behind the wheel of her car when the shot rang out.

The bullet shattered the driver's side window and struck the woman in her left arm.

She was able to drive a block before stopping and calling for help.

She was taken to the hospital in stable condition.

There was no word on any arrests.
