PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Philadelphia fire marshal is investigating two suspicious incidents.

The first happened in the 5800 block of Cedar Avenue in West Philadelphia.

Police say someone threw a device through a window of a home around 2 a.m. Wednesday.

It was not immediately clear if the device ignited.

30 minutes later and less than a mile away, someone torched an SUV.

Authorities say whoever was responsible also tampered with the gas tank on a second vehicle.

They were parked along the 1000 block of South 56th Street in Southwest Philadelphia.

No injuries were reported in either incident.
