Boyfriend charged after woman killed inside Mercer County home

HAMILTON TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Authorities have identified a New Jersey man accused of killing his girlfriend in Hamilton, Mercer County.

38-year-old Daniel Torres, Jr. was arrested Sunday after 31-year-old Jennifer Beer was shot to death at 6 a.m. in the couple's apartment in the 800 block of South Olden Avenue.

Police also found a dead dog inside the home.

Torres is facing charges of murder and animal cruelty.
