Company creates paleo diet baby food: Alicia Vitarelli reports during Action News at 4:30 p.m. on August 25, 2017.

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- There's a new baby food line on the market that's creating a bit of a buzz.

A company named Serenity Kids is launching a line of liquid baby food that follows the paleo diet.

If you're not familiar with it, it's a prehistoric kind of philosophy where you eat like a caveman - or woman.

The diet includes no grains or legumes, dairy or sugar. It's high fat and high protein.

The flavors include uncured bacon with organic kale and butternut squash, free-range chicken with peas and carrots and grass-fed beef with kale and sweet potato.

The mom behind it, Serenity Geegel, says she wanted to create something she would feed her own baby.

Of course always check with your pediatrician before feeding your baby any new diet, but this new line seems to have foodies, fitness folks and plain old parents divided.
