Man, 60, shot during robbery attempt in Parkside

PARKSIDE (WPVI) -- A 60-year-old man is in critical condition after he was shot during a robbery in the Parkside section of Philadelphia.

It happened around 1:40 a.m. in the 1200 block of 53rd Street.

Police say the victim was approached by two suspects who tried to rob him.

The victim was then shot in the stomach.

Both suspects ran away.
