Philadelphia Police hand out backpacks in West Philadelphia

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A couple Philadelphia Police officers carried out some very special orders this week.

Captain John Stanford and several of his officers, patrolled the 19th district in West Philadelphia on Friday, handing out backpacks to children.

The kids and their parents were pleasantly surprised to see the van filled with backpacks, and were very grateful for the generosity.
