TORRESDALE (WPVI) -- SEPTA's Trenton line resumes service after a person was hit and killed by an Amtrak train.

It happened around 8:30 p.m. Sunday near Philadelphia's Torresdale station along Grant Avenue and James Street.

Amtrak brought in another train to get the stranded passengers on their way. The train was heading to New York City.

Riders can check SEPTA's website for alternate service and suggestions.

This is the third person to be hit by a train this weekend across the Delaware Valley.
