NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Gunshots rang out as police were on routine patrol in North Philadelphia.
It happened at 12:30 a.m. Monday.
Officers arrived at 12th Street and West Susquehanna Avenue to find a 34-year-old man who had been shot in the back.
They rushed the victim to Temple University Hospital, where he was admitted in stable condition.
At least one vehicle was also struck by gunfire.
Police recovered a weapon and were questioning as a possible witness a driver who was speeding from the scene.
