Feds agree to provide drainage system in Margate: Sharrie Williams reports during Action news at 4 p.m., September 13, 2017

MARGATE, N.J. -- There's now a solution to the long-running battle over sand dune construction at the Jersey Shore.

The federal government has agreed to build-- and pay for a drainage system in Margate.

Crews will install underground pipes to prevent bacteria-filled storm water from collecting in ponds as it did this summer.

The flooding happened after the U-S Army Corps of Engineers built protective dunes.
