It's common for parents to want to take their kids down slides on the playground, but some doctors say that practice is a slippery slope to injuring your child.

The biggest danger seems to be sliding down with a toddler on your lap, their foot could catch the surface.

Researchers from the University of Iowa say hundreds of thousands of kids have been hurt on slides over the last decade, some suffering a fractured lowered leg.

The highest risk is for toddlers between 12 months and 23 months.

They tell parents to not go down the slide with kids on their lap. If you do, make sure the child's foot doesn't catch
