Woman rescued after car flips in University City

UNIVERSITY CITY (WPVI) -- A woman was injured after her car collided with another vehicle and flipped onto its roof in University City.

It happened around 1:15 a.m. Sunday on 42nd and Spruce streets.

The woman became trapped inside the upside down car.

She was rescued by firefighters and taken to the hospital in serious but stable condition.

The other vehicle involved in the crash ended up on the sidewalk.

No other injuries were reported.

A cause of the collision is under investigation.
