Pedestrian struck and killed in Maple Shade

MAPLE SHADE TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed in Maple Shade Township, Burlington County.

It happened around 1 a.m. Sunday on the northbound lanes of Route 73.

Police say the victim died at the scene.

The striking vehicle stopped nearby, authorities say.

Police continue to investigate the accident.
