EDDYSTONE, Pa. (WPVI) -- A volunteer firefighter in Delaware County has been arrested on charges he inappropriately touched a teenage girl.

30-year-old Anthony Tinney has been charged with multiple counts of indecent assault.

The alleged incident happened March 27th.

Police said Tinney inappropriately touched a 13-year-old girl several times over her clothing while playing a game. According to officials, Tinney was a friend of the girl's parents and on occasion her babysitter.

An investigation was launched last spring, after the girl told county social services that Tinney had touched her inappropriately at three different locations.

Tinney, who is a volunteer for the Ridley Park Fire Department, turned himself in to Eddystone Police Wednesday.

Bail was set at 20% of $200,000.
