Man critical after being shot in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police are searching for the gunman who shot a man five times on a North Philadelphia street.

Gunfire rung out around 11:30 p.m. Friday night in the 800 block of West Clearfield Street.

Police say the 42-year-old male was struck several times before fleeing.

Police rushed the victim to Temple Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

Investigators have not yet indicated a motive.
