Woman shot while sitting on porch of Germantown home

GERMANTOWN (WPVI) -- A 30-year-old woman was shot while sitting on the porch of a house in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, police said.

It happened just before midnight Sunday on the 5600 block of Stokes Street.

Police said someone walked up to the house and opened fire.

Shotgun pellets hit the woman and also shattered windows.

The victim, identified as the homeowner's niece, was taken to Einstein Medical Center where she is listed in stable condition.

No arrests have been made.
