Police investigate deadly shooting in West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia

WEST OAK LANE (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a deadly shooting in the city's West Oak Lane section.

Gunfire erupted after 11:30 a.m. Friday at 75th Avenue and Tulpehocken Street.

Action News is told a 38-year-old man was shot several times in the head.

Medics rushed him to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police are working to determine who fired the weapon and why.
