CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- An Uber driver is facing criminal charges for allegedly macing a passenger in her car.

Philadelphia Police arrested the driver on Friday morning near the 1600 block of Chestnut Street.

Police say the driver and a passenger, who are both female, got into an argument during the ride.

That's when the driver pulled out the mace and sprayed.

The passenger was treated at the scene.

Charges against the driver are pending.
