Store clerk shot during armed robbery in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Delaware State Police are searching for the gunman who shot a Quick Mart store employee during an armed robbery.

Police say the masked suspect walked into the store on the unit block of South Maryland Avenue in Wilmington just before 1 p.m. Friday.

They say he demanded money and got into a fight with the clerk.

The clerk was shot and the suspect ran away.

The clerk was taken to Christiana Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
