Fifty-five people have become sick in twelve states including Pennsylvania due to an infection linked to puppies sold at Petland.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the infection is resistant to common antibiotics.

Thirteen people have had to be hospitalized.

To avoid contamination from your pet, the CDC recommends that you wash your hands thoroughly after touching dogs.
