VIDEO: Hot air balloon fiesta in New Mexico
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (WPVI) -- This time of year makes for a beautiful spectacular in the sky in New Mexico.
That's because hundreds of balloons fill the sky at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta.
The event has100 acres of grass and booths and attracts media outlets from more than 50 countries.
The original gathering in 1972 started with 13 balloons. This year almost 600 balloons are featured at the Balloon Fiesta.
It is estimated that more than 25 million still photographs have been taken of the Balloon Fiesta.
