ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -- Authorities say three firefighters were hurt while battling a fire at an abandoned house in Atlantic City, where they rescued a woman believed to be squatting there.

The Press of Atlantic City reports that none of the firefighters' injuries were serious after the Thursday night fire, but that the woman was hospitalized with burns.

Atlantic City Fire Chief Dennis Brooks says that the woman was found lying on the floor of a smoke-filled third story and had to be revived with CPR. Her condition was not available.

One of the firefighters fell through a hole in the floor, a second had light burns on his face, and the third injured a shoulder while carrying the unconscious woman out.

Brooks says that the fire appears suspicious and is under investigation.
