3 injured after pickup truck, NJ Transit bus collide in Mercer County

HAMILTON TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- A pickup truck and a New Jersey Transit bus collided in Mercer County.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. Sunday on the 1800 block of Broad Street in Hamilton Township, New Jersey.

Police say the 17-year-old driver of the truck was turning onto Broad Street off Sewell Avenue when he collided with the bus.

The impact pinned the truck between the bus and a tree, trapping the young driver.

He was rescued, and rushed to the hospital. He is expected to be OK.

Two people on the bus suffered minor injuries.
