WHITEMARSH TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Montgomery County authorities are investigating a crash involving seven vehicles that left three people injured.

The accident occurred around 5:15 p.m. Wednesday in the 200 block of Ridge Pike in Whitemarsh Township, Pennsylvania.

Police say seven vehicles were involved in the crash, and a utility pole was knocked down.

At this time, there is no word on the severity of the victims' injuries.

Ridge Pike was temporarily closed between Joshua Road and Ash Lane until 8:30 p.m.

Police are investigating what caused the crash.
