PRICES CORNER, Del. (WPVI) -- Three women have been arrested following a purse snatching in the parking lot of a grocery store in Prices Corner, Delaware.

The incident occurred around 11:40 a.m. Friday outside the Acme store at 1308 Centerville Road.

Investigators say the victim, a 67-year-old woman, was pushing a shopping cart toward the store when she was approached by Scarlett Zimmerman, 23, of New Castle.

Zimmerman reached into the cart to grab the purse, police say, but the victim grabbed it as well and the two began to struggle.

Zimmerman eventually managed to wrest it away from the victim and got into an awaiting Ford pickup truck with two other women inside.

After obtaining a vehicle registration number and a description from witnesses, troopers found the vehicle entering the Murray Manor Trailer Park.

Troopers arrested Zimmerman along with Shannon Carter, 44, of Wilmington and DeAnna Lindgren, 26, of Clayton.
