Students show appreciation for heroes

SOMERTON (WPVI) -- A school in the Somerton section took time Wednesday to thank those who make daily life safe and secure.

St. Christopher School in Somerton hosted an assembly for Philadelphia police, fire, and first responders.

Students noted special gifts they'd offer each one in uniform to make their day better.

The audience included many school parents working in those fields.
