Driver crashes in Newark, Delaware after being shot

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- A vehicle ended up on a front lawn after a crash in Newark, Delaware Friday.

When police arrived, they discovered the driver had been shot.

It happened around 2 a.m. at Augusta Drive and Malvern Road in the Chestnut Hills development.

The victim was taken to an area hospital in critical condition.

New Castle County Police were working to determine where the shooting took place and who was responsible.
