Driver seriously injured after striking tree in Talleyville

TALLEYVILLE, Del. (WPVI) -- A driver was seriously hurt after his car slammed into a tree in Talleyville, Delaware last night.

The incident occurred around 9 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of Murphy Road.

Police say the driver of the vehicle lost control and struck the tree.

Rescue crews had to pull the victim from the wreckage.

He was rushed to Christiana Hospital for treatment.
