Person struck, critically injured in North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- One person was critically injured after being hit by a car in North Philadelphia.

It happened before 4 a.m. Saturday in the 3800 block of Front Street, between Luzerne Street and Erie Avenue.

The victim was taken to Temple University Hospital in critical condition.

Police say the driver of the striking vehicle remained at the scene and was not hurt.

There was no immediate word if any charges would be filed.
