Man sitting on his steps shot in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man is in critical condition after being shot while sitting on his front steps in North Philadelphia.

It happened around 2 a.m. Tuesday on C Street and Indiana Avenue.

Police say at least 12 shots were fired.

The 56-year-old man was shot in the face.

Police say a second man was able to dodge the gunfire.

Bullets also struck a corner store several times.

Police are searching for the shooter.
