Police investigate West Philadelphia shooting

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man was seriously injured in a shooting in West Philadelphia.

It happened around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday near 59th and Spruce streets.

There was a heavy police presence at the scene.

Police say the victim was shot in the stomach and was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.

There is no word on arrests at this time.
