4 pets rescued from Norristown house fire

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- Quick work by neighbors and firefighters saved the lives of four pets in a house fire in Norristown.

The blaze broke out around 6:00 Friday night in the 600 block of Chain Street.

Crews reported heavy fire coming from the second and third floors of the residence.

Neighbors and firefighters were able to rescue three dogs and a cat from inside.

There were no residents inside at the time.

The fire was brought under control in less than a half hour.

The cause is under investigation.
