Police are now trying to figure out if this is all connected.

OLNEY (WPVI) -- It's been a violent couple of days on one particular Olney street. Five people have been shot since Sunday, and one of them is dead.

Police are now trying to figure out if this is all connected.

It's been a blizzard of violence at 2nd and Nedro streets in recent days.

On Sunday night two men and a woman were shot after a gunman opened fire.

The following night police say another two men and woman were sitting on the front steps of a home on the 200 block of Nedro when someone walked up and sprayed gunfire.

Police responded and found a man suffering from a fatal wound and a woman shot in the foot.

Philadelphia Police Captain James Clark explained what arriving officers discovered, saying, "When they got there they found a 32-year-old male, Anthony Celious. He was shot multiple times. He was taken to Aria Hospital where he was pronounced."

Sources say it appears the target in Monday night's shooting was not hit, and his girlfriend's car was near the scene. It had recently been vandalized with derogatory names and the word "rat."

Capt. Clark says, "He is going to be coming into see us sometime today and hopefully we will get some information from him as well."

2nd and Nedro has a history of gun violence. Old candles and flowers still litter the block.

Detectives are investigating whether the recent shootings are connected.

"Obviously, we will be looking to see if there are any links between the shootings. Right now we haven't found any. I know that the captain in that district has been deploying his personnel in that area to stop these shootings and make some arrests," Clark said.

And while police have not uncovered a motive yet for the shootings, Action News spoke to the woman who lives next door to where Monday's shooting occurred. She says the two victims are like family, and says the shooting may have been the result of an altercation the previous night.
